1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
Employees Desk (“Employees Desk”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates employeesdesk.com and provides calculators, employee-related tools, document-processing utilities, account features and related services.
This policy describes the information that may be processed when you use the website and how that information is handled.
2. Information You Provide
Depending on the feature you use, you may provide information such as your name, account details, salary figures, pension information, tax information, service-related details, calculator inputs or uploaded documents.
Information entered into a calculator or utility is used to perform the calculation, conversion, extraction or other function requested by you.
If you contact Employees Desk, we process the name, email address, message and any optional details or attachments you submit to respond to your inquiry. Contact submissions may be retained for follow-up and handled through the hosting and communication providers needed to receive and respond to them. See Section 10 for service providers and Section 12 for retention.
3. Google Sign-In
Employees Desk allows users to sign in using a Google Account. Authentication is performed by Google. Employees Desk does not receive or store your Google password.
For Google Sign-In, Employees Desk requests only the basic identity scopes:
- openid
- profile
Depending on what Google supplies, Employees Desk may receive your verified email address, Google account identifier, name, first and last name, and profile picture URL.
4. How Google Sign-In Data Is Used
Information received through Google Sign-In is used only for functions reasonably necessary to operate Employees Desk, including:
- authenticating you securely;
- creating or identifying your Employees Desk account;
- displaying your account name or profile picture;
- maintaining your WordPress/Employees Desk login session;
- managing access to account-related features; and
- supporting account security and troubleshooting.
Employees Desk does not use data received through Google Sign-In to build advertising profiles or to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
5. WordPress and Employees Desk Account Information
Signing in through Google may create or link an Employees Desk WordPress user account. The account may include a user ID, username, verified email address, display name, first and last name, Google account identifier, profile image URL, linked-account status and last-login information.
A securely generated internal WordPress password may exist for an account created through Google Sign-In. Employees Desk does not provide that generated password to the user as part of Google authentication.
6. Calculator and Tool Data
Employees Desk provides calculators and utilities relating to areas such as pension, pay fixation, salary, allowances, tax, advances, interest, payroll statements and other employee-related matters.
Data entered into these tools is used to produce the requested result. Unless a feature expressly states that information will be saved to your account, users should not assume that calculator inputs are intended for permanent storage.
Please avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the calculation or tool being used.
7. Uploaded Documents
Some tools may allow users to upload payroll PDFs, salary statements or similar documents for processing. Such documents can contain personal or financial information.
Users should upload only documents they are authorized to process. Uploaded information is used for the functionality requested by the user, subject to the normal technical operation of the website, hosting environment and applicable security controls.
8. Premium Access and Security Information
Where Employees Desk uses access limits, Premium features or controlled sessions, information may be processed to administer those services and prevent abuse.
This may include account ID, entitlement status, session information, feature usage, security events and hashed network or device-related information. Where hashing is used, the purpose is to avoid storing the corresponding raw value in that security record.
9. Cookies, Sessions and OAuth Transactions
Employees Desk and WordPress may use cookies that are necessary for authentication, session management, Google OAuth transactions, security, preferences and normal website operation.
Temporary OAuth information is created during Google Sign-In to help prevent forged or replayed authentication requests. These authentication transactions are designed to expire automatically.
9A. Google AdSense, Advertising Data and Your Choices
Employees Desk may display advertisements through Google AdSense. When ads are served, Google and other participating third-party advertising providers may collect information directly from your browser, subject to the applicable advertising settings and consent choices.
These providers may place and read cookies, use web beacons or similar technologies, and collect IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, the URL of the page visited and information about ad interactions. This information may be used to deliver and measure ads, maintain and improve advertising services, and protect against fraud and abuse.
Where personalised advertising is enabled and permitted, third-party vendors, including Google, use advertising cookies to select ads based on your previous visits to Employees Desk and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to use this information for ad personalisation.
For details about Google's collection, sharing and use of data, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Other advertising vendors and networks may participate in ad delivery and measurement through Google, depending on the partners enabled and your consent choices. Google's ad technology partners directory provides vendor information and links to their data-use policies. The partners participating in a particular ad depend on the advertising configuration.
- Manage or opt out of Google's personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating third-party vendors through YourAdChoices WebChoices.
- Where a consent message or privacy settings control is displayed, use it to review the listed vendors and purposes and change or withdraw your choices.
- You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect sign-in and other website features.
Turning off ad personalisation does not remove all ads or all advertising data collection. Information may still be used for ad measurement and fraud prevention. Some opt-out choices apply to the browser or device where you make them.
10. Hosting, Security and Service Providers
Employees Desk may use hosting, content-delivery, DNS, website-security, caching and authentication providers required to operate and protect the website. This may include infrastructure such as Hostinger, Cloudflare and Google authentication services where applicable.
These providers may technically process network, request or account-related information in order to deliver their services. Their handling of information is also subject to their own applicable policies and agreements.
11. Data Sharing
Employees Desk does not sell users' personal information.
Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, use infrastructure or security providers, investigate misuse or security incidents, comply with a valid legal obligation, protect Employees Desk or its users, or where the user has authorized the disclosure.
When ads are served, advertising data may also be collected by or shared with Google and other participating advertising providers as described in Section 9A.
12. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, account administration, website operation, security, dispute resolution or applicable legal requirements.
Temporary OAuth transaction information is designed to expire automatically after a short period. Security and access information may also be removed according to configured retention periods.
Retention of advertising information held by Google and other participating advertising providers is governed by their own privacy policies.
13. Your Choices
Depending on the feature involved, you may choose not to use Google Sign-In, stop using Employees Desk, modify eligible profile information, sign out, or contact Employees Desk regarding account or privacy questions.
You can also manage third-party applications connected to your Google Account through your Google Account settings.
For advertising settings, opt-out links and consent choices, see Section 9A: Advertising Data and Your Choices.
14. Children's Privacy
Employees Desk is primarily a professional and informational service relating to employees, workplace utilities and government-related calculations. It is not designed specifically for children.
15. External Links
Employees Desk may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability or content of third-party websites.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when our services, authentication systems, tools, security practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
