The Eastern Naval Command is all set to present a stunning Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) at the picturesque Ramakrishna Beach, Visakhapatnam, on January 4, 2025. This awe-inspiring event, hosted by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, will be graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, as the Chief Guest. Final rehearsals were reviewed by the FOCinC East on Thursday, ensuring precision and perfection for the grand spectacle.

The demonstration will showcase the Indian Navy’s operational prowess, reflecting its crucial role in safeguarding India’s maritime interests. It will also highlight the profound bond between the Navy and Visakhapatnam, known as the “City of Destiny.” This historic city, home to the Eastern Naval Command, is an integral part of India’s maritime legacy.

The Op Demo will feature a vibrant display of maritime capabilities, including:

Warship Maneuvers, Submarine Operations, and Naval Aircraft Demonstrations
Hawk Fighter Jets in high-speed maneuvers
Combat Free Fall and Slithering Demonstrations from helicopters
Warship Firing Drills that showcase the synergy between land and sea operations

The event will conclude with a series of captivating performances, including:

A traditional Beating Retreat Ceremony by the ENC Band
A mesmerizing Continuity Drill
A dazzling Fireworks Extravaganza, Drone Displays, and a State-of-the-Art Laser Show

Adding a cultural touch, Sea Cadets from Visakhapatnam will perform a traditional Hornpipe Dance, celebrating India’s maritime heritage. The entire event will be live-streamed on the Indian Navy’s social media channels and telecast live on Doordarshan, allowing citizens nationwide to witness the grandeur.

Public Guidelines:

The public is requested to cooperate with traffic guidelines issued by local authorities, including designated parking areas and specific routes. Adherence to cleanliness norms is essential, as litter poses hazards to naval aircraft during aerial demonstrations. Flying of drones, kites, or any aerial objects is strictly prohibited to ensure safety.
