Know Your Army Mela 2025 To Showcase Indian Army’s Strength, Technology, And Indigenous Capabilities In Pune |

The Indian Army will host the “Know Your Army Mela 2025,” a three-day event showcasing the strength, technological advancements, and indigenous capabilities of the Armed Forces. The event is scheduled to take place from January 3 to January 5 at RWITC, Pune, daily from 09:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to strengthening its connection with the public and celebrating its ongoing transformation. Dubbed the “Decade of Transformation,” the Indian Army has embraced advanced technologies to prepare for future battlefields, evolving into a Mission Focused and Future Ready Force.

The exhibition will display a variety of military equipment and technologies, providing visitors with an in-depth view of the Indian Army’s operational capabilities. Among the items on display will be Infantry and Special Forces equipment such as the K-9 Vajra, 155 MM BOFORS, PINAKA, and SMERCH. Mechanized forces will showcase the T-90 and BMP-II tanks, illustrating their power and mobility.

Air Defence systems, including the L-7, ZU-23, Akash, and the upgraded Schilka, will also be featured. For a look at future defense technologies, attendees will see the latest Swarm Drones and newly inducted vehicles, which highlight advancements in protection and mobility. A dedicated section will feature 25 vendors contributing to Atmnirbhar Bharat, demonstrating indigenous equipment production. In addition, a photo exhibition will showcase the capabilities of the Indian Army. A one-hour dynamic display will run daily, featuring martial music, martial arts, an army dog show, a horse show, and traditional performances, scheduled from 10 AM to 11 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

The event will be held at RWITC, Pune, with access through multiple routes, including Prince of Whales Road, Arjun Road, Exhibition Road, and NH-65 along the AFMC Parade Ground. Several entry points will be available, including the Parade Ground Entrance, a makeshift entrance near the Botanical Garden, and the Maharashtra State Electricity Board entrance from Solapur Highway.

Parking arrangements

Parking arrangements have been made to ensure smooth access for visitors. For school and college buses, parking will be available at the Race Course Venue near the Parade Ground entrance. Visitors arriving via NH-65 can park at the Maharashtra State Electricity Board parking lot. Additional parking will be available at various locations, including the Command Riding School, Army Public School Junior Wing, Express Botanical Garden lot on Prince of Whales Road, the Cricket Ground on Burnett Road, and the RWITC parking facility.

To avoid traffic congestion, visitors are advised to arrive between 8:30 AM and 9:15 AM for the morning session and by 2:00 PM for the afternoon session. Only handbags will be allowed, and no other types of bags should be carried. Entry to the event will be granted only with a valid government-issued ID. Pets and inflammable items are prohibited, and children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Refreshment stalls will be available at the venue for public convenience.

The “Know Your Army Mela” provides an opportunity to witness the Indian Army’s dedication to national security, technological progress, and its commitment to a self-reliant India.
