INS Nirdeshak: India’s New Survey vessel to Boost Maritime Capabilities and Strategic Presence
According to the Indian Navy spokesperson, Commander Vivek Madhwal, the Survey Ship Nirdeksha will be inducted into the Navy fleet in Visakhapatnam on December 18.

The Indian Navy will get its new Nirdeshak next week. This is a survey vessel. As per the name, this survey vessel will provide important information to the Navy about the deep sea, which will help in the operation of warships and submarines.
According to the Indian Navy spokesperson, Commander Vivek Madhwal, the Survey Ship Nirdeksha will be inducted into the Navy fleet in Visakhapatnam on December 18. The special thing about this ship is that it has been built with more than 80 percent indigenous materials.
The commissioning ceremony, to be presided over by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, will be attended by senior Navy officials. The ceremony will be hosted by the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command and will be attended by distinguished guests including senior naval officers and GRSE representatives.
