Vistara-Air India merger
Launched as a joint venture between Tata Sons (51 per cent) and Singapore Airlines (49 per cent) in 2015, Vistara marks the end of its journey as the Tata group decided to merge it with its other aviation venture Air India. The company has said the decision has been made to streamline its aviation assets.
Vistara fleet and routes will be incorporated into Air India, and Singapore Airlines will hold a 25.1 per cent stake in the merged airline, becoming India’s largest international carrier.
