The armed forces will conduct the tri-service exercise Poorvi Prahar in the Eastern Theatre from November 10 to 18 in a move to bolster joint operational readiness and cultivate inter-service synergy.

This initiative aims to integrate the capabilities of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, with a focus on joint operations in demanding mountainous terrains.

The exercise will be a platform for showcasing several sophisticated platforms and assets from all three services, including fighter and reconnaissance aircraft, strategic helicopters like the Chinook and Advanced Light Helicopter (Rudra), and M777 Ultra-Light Howitzer Artillery Systems.

The exercise, Poorvi Prahar, will embrace cutting-edge technological advancements such as Swarm Drones, First Person View (FPV) Drones, and Loiter Munitions. These technologies will revolutionise modern warfare, offering enhanced situational awareness, precision, and agility in operations.

To ensure streamlined and efficient operations, joint control structures will be established during the exercise. These structures will develop a refined Common Operating Picture (COP), optimising the use of satellite communications and AI-driven analytics. Such integration facilitates seamless coordination and strategic decision-making across the services.
