The Indian Army still awaits its first batch of Apache AH-64E attack helicopters from the US.

The Army had ordered six helicopters from the US, which were scheduled to arrive in batches of three, with the first batch expected between May and June.

However, the Apache AH-64E helicopters have yet to reach India, leaving the Army’s first Apache Squadron in Jaipur still awaiting their arrival.

The Indian Army is set to receive six Apache helicopters as part of an $800 million deal signed with the US in February 2020. The first batch has already faced a delay of over three months
