Shots were reportedly fired outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s home on Victoria Island in Vancouver, Canada on September 1. Rohit Godara, from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the incident.
A video circulating online shows a man firing multiple shots outside a house at night, but its location is not confirmed. AP Dhillon resides on Victoria Island in British Columbia.
Shooting allegedly linked to Dhillon’s music video with Salman Khan
A post attributed to Godara claims that the shooting occurred in both Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto. The post alleges that the shooting was a response to Dhillon featuring Salman Khan in a music video and includes death threats against the singer. Recently, Dhillon released a video song titled ‘Old Money,’ featuring Bollywood giants Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. The video is styled like an action film.
Security agencies are currently verifying the post’s claims and analysing the video. The singer has not yet commented on the incident, and Canadian authorities have not responded.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s alleged involvement in high-profile incidents
In November of last year, Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang allegedly took responsibility for a shooting at singer Gippy Grewal’s house in the White Rock neighbourhood of Vancouver.
Earlier this year, on April 14, two individuals on a motorcycle fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra area and then fled. The Mumbai police have declared Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as “wanted” in connection with this incident.
The shooters are believed to have links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reported that Khan was among the top 10 targets of Bishnoi, citing a 1998 black buck hunting case that the gangster claims offended the Bishnoi community.
