Jamshedpur, August 24: The search for Alchemist Aviation’s trainee aircraft, which sank in Chandil Dam, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, has yet to produce results on the fifth day. Despite ongoing efforts by Indian Navy and NDRF teams, no significant progress has been made.
A combined team of 16 NDRF personnel and 15 Navy members is conducting the search, hindered by murky water and the presence of a submerged village, which complicates the operation. The bodies of the trainee pilot and the trainer were recovered a couple of days ago, raising hopes that the aircraft is still in the dam.
Approximately 10 square kilometres have been searched without success. An underwater solar machine, functioning like an X-ray, has been deployed but has also failed to locate the aircraft. Although images have revealed submerged villages and houses, the aircraft remains unfound. The search operation continues as authorities await further developments.
