Guwahati: A two-day ‘Rhino Shakti Operational Logistics Seminar’ was held at Narangi Military Station in Guwahati on December 2 and 3.

The seminar was also live-streamed to a wider audience in various formation headquarters across the country, enabling hybrid participation.

The seminar aimed to foster collaboration between civil and military stakeholders to optimize the utilization of infrastructure and expertise. The two-day seminar provided contextual inputs on multi-use, cost-effective, efficient, resilient, and sustainable efforts along the border areas.

The seminar focused on harnessing national initiatives and global best practices, thereby enhancing real-time informed decision-making by military stakeholders for furtherance of national objectives.

The seminar also laid emphasis on the development of operational logistic infrastructure along the border areas, tri-service logistic integration, implementation of advanced technology for predictive modelling of military logistic operations, thereby aiding the formulation of future joint logistic strategies.

The seminar was aimed at synergizing the efforts of civil and military stakeholders to augment the military logistic capability. The seminar also focused on bridging strategic gaps with special emphasis on building a robust framework of collaboration between civil and military stakeholders while accentuating dual-use infrastructure, connectivity & survivability to enhance logistic capability and ensure swift, efficient and cost-effective responses to national security challenges.

Eminent speakers from the Army, including experts from the Operational Logistics Directorate, IDS, USI, academia, and industry, as well as representatives from Niti Aayog, North Eastern Railways, NEEPCO, NEC, and media houses, shared their insights on long-term security and logistic sustenance in the region.
